The most common forms of business organizations operating in Lebanon

For a foreign commercial company to operate in Lebanon, it must be registered as a ‘Representative’ office or ‘Branch’.

Below is a brief of the main requirements for the registration of a Representative Office of Foreign Company :

• Activity restricted to the promotion of the parent Company’s services and products.

• Should be registered first with the Ministry of Economy and Trade (“MOET”), then before the Commercial Register.

• Managed by one or more director.

• Must necessarily have headquarters in Lebanon.

• Must necessarily appoint a lawyer.
