For a foreign commercial company to operate in Lebanon, it must be registered as a ‘Branch’ or ‘Representative’ office.
Below is a brief of the main requirements for the registration of a Branch of Foreign Company:
• Same object as the foreign company.
• Should be registered first with the Ministry of Economy and Trade (“MOET”), then before the Commercial Register.
• Managed by one or more director.
• Must necessarily have headquarters in Lebanon.
• Must necessarily appoint a lawyer.
